ABOUT JASMINE

therapist in westchester new york
Jasmine Roizman, MHC-LP
Mental Health Counselor, Limited Permit in NY

Heal with compassion and intuition.

Jasmine is a warm and attentive therapist who strives to create an atmosphere of non-judgment where clients can explore their goals and values and work collaboratively to align their lives with those values.

"The greatest reward as a mental health counselor is helping clients reconnect with the happiness and strength that already lives within them. Everyone deserves an opportunity to build inner strength and learn how to cope with the twists and turns of life. And through therapy, we can do just that.”

She creates a therapeutic space where clients can be honest, open, and kind to themselves. She works alongside clients to freely explore issues that may have negatively impacted the way they live their lives. Her priority is to provide clients with the tools to overcome hardships while empowering them to reach their greatest potential. Jasmine believes that everyone can move toward growth, healing, and self-love.

Areas of Expertise and Treatment Approach

As a mental health counselor, Jasmine works with teens, adults, couples, and families. She provides treatment to those living with anxiety, depression, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and complex trauma, autism spectrum disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), trichotillomania, eating disorders, life transition difficulties, and relationship issues.

Her treatment approach is integrative and holistic, as she takes the time to listen closely and tailor sessions to each client where they currently are. Her techniques are primarily pulled from Person-Centered Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy, all while having a strong foundation in self-compassion.

She uses evidence-based treatment to provide clients with tools to successfully overcome their struggles while helping them understand their triggers, regulate emotions, tolerate distress, practice mindfulness and meditation, and challenge irrational thought patterns. With the use of mindfulness approaches and self-compassion techniques, she assists her clients in recognizing their strengths and breaking down what may be standing between them and living a happier, more fulfilling life.

Training

Jasmine is a mental health counselor with a limited permit in New York practicing under the direct supervision of Jessica Aron, PsyD.
