Therapy for Self-Harm

If you are harming yourself, you are likely trying to cope with deep emotional pain. You may feel that it’s the only way to get your feelings out, slow your thoughts down, or express what you can’t put into words. Unfortunately, the cycle of self-harm can be relentless. It may provide temporary relief, but once that wears off you will find yourself with the urge to hurt yourself again. Our therapists have deep wells of compassion for your pain.

In therapy, we will guide you through processing the cycle of self-harm by exploring underlying feelings as well as understanding the circumstances and triggers that contribute to self-injury. We'll also work on identifying and practicing new coping skills while supporting you in cultivating self-compassion.

If you’re feeling stuck in the cycle of self-injury, confused about how to heal, or alone with your pain please reach out to us.
